News from The Langford Family
Dear Friends,
Big News:
We have decided this year's Run4Hope will be our last "in-person" gathering and we want to finish well! Our mission of Hope will certainly continue, but we believe the in-person Run4Hope has "run its course" successfully (HA) and it is time to shift into a new season.
This year will be our 10th annual Justin's Run4Hope. With your partnership, we have created an endowed scholarship at Vanderbilt University's School of Engineering and provided over 30 scholarships at a local level with recipients who have gone on to use their gifts to give hope to others. In addition, we have heard countless stories from you regarding awareness, encouragement, and registrations to give the gift of life and hope through organ donation. Justin's Run4Hope even played a major role in the introduction of an organ recipient and their donor in the Indianapolis community. This event has truly been life-changing and a gift of Hope for so many people as it has encouraged Health, Organ Donation, Peace through Christ, and Education. THANK YOU for your faithful engagement and encouragement!
So, we have a BIG ASK: We would be so touched to have as many in-person participants as possible while setting a financial donation record. Would you please prayerfully consider helping us achieve both audacious, hope-filled goals?
While we have not fully defined what the future form of our mission of Hope will look like, we know it will require continued faithful partnership through your encouragement and financial support.
PERSONAL UPDATE:
We never would have imagined the community support and resulting accomplishments that have been achieved through Justin's Run4Hope and the Justin David Langford Foundation of Hope. We have been humbly blown-away. On a personal level, it has been a source of inspiration and healing. We can't wait to see what God has in store for the next chapter in our lives and this mission of giving Hope to others. As most of you know, Bryan left an amazing career at Roche to complete his MDiv and go into full-time ministry with Janice faithfully by his side each step of the journey. Kyle will begin his 3-year fellowship in Pediatric Hospital Medicine and Medical Education during the summer of 2025 while Shelby looks forward to continuing her ministry with the Navigators as she lives out the great commission of making disciples. David Justin Langford is the world's most perfect grandson and God has blessed him with a little sister who will be arriving in just a few weeks! Kelsi is thriving in her career as a registered dietician at Stanford and is enjoying the abundance of life in California. And finally, Justin's organ recipients are doing well and have celebrated more than 10 years of the gift of hope since receiving Justin's gift of life.
Join us!
We look forward to seeing you at the 10th Annual Justin's Run4Hope on May 17, 2025. We would also love to hear from you, so please drop us a note at [email protected].
Our Ask:
As we shared with you in past years, with your continued gracious partnership and encouragement, we are planning Give Hope through this event for 2 more years. Please prayerfully consider how you can help us achieve this goal with two record years of participation and contributions.
Registration is now open for Justin's Run for Hope.
Thank you for your amazing encouragement and support! We look forward to hearing from you, and seeing you in person this year. And of course sharing Baby Langford updates!
Giving Hope,
Bryan, Janice, Shelby and David
